1 Month Old

Brody is one month old on the 26th. We are excited because his surgery went well and he is recovering very well. He is able to eat from a bottle already and we are working on that. Hopefully he will be able to learn to do that quickly and then he should be able to come home if there are no more complications or surprises. He is getting bigger, he is about 20" and 7 lbs 4 oz. He is a tough boy and we love him tons.

Brody Update

For anyone that has not heard. Brody had his first surgery yesterday. He had to have his tongue sewn to his bottom lip. It will be a semi-permanent thing. It will probably stay until he is 10-12 months old. He did well through the surgery and everything looks good so far. He is kept asleep until Mon. so that he does not move it at all. He will be able to wait until he is 6 months for his heart surgery as long as things stay the way they are. And around the 6-9 months they will do his jaw distraction (pulling it forward). Then around 9-12 months they will correct his palat. We are hoping that the surgery he received yesterday will be all he needs to be able to breath well enough to come home. If all goes well he will come home within the next couple weeks. Thank you everyone for your prayers and support.

Slip N Slide

We had an awesome slip n slide. It was about 60 ft long and the boys were having a competition to see who could slide the farthest. It was really fun. They were even nice enough to slide me down it, since I can't run and jump on my stomach. They did get some pretty fun war wounds but in all it was awesome. We also had another on the 4th that was a little longer, and we will continue to improve on them- once the boys recover fully.

Brianna on the slip n slide.

Ryan sliding down. They started to wear bags because they were sliding onto the grass at the end and it hurt less with the bags.

Nate's turn.

Shon sliding down.

Clayton and dad playing before the big competition.

4th of July

We had an awesome time on the 4th. Clayton says that it is called the candy day, because that is what he remembers most. He was very determined to get all the candy that he could and we came home with a huge bag. He also had a great time shaking his hips and dancing to every float that came by with music. It was hillarious, but it will not let me post it so unfortunately you cannot see it right now. But here are some cute pictures of him and Micah at the parade.

Review of the last 5 months

Well I know that it has been forever since I last updated my blog, but better late than never. Not much has been happening in the first place to blog about, but we have cute pictures of Clay and have had some fun times so here goes.
One of Claytons new favorite things to do is paint. This is a finger paint, but he has painted a wooden snake, lizard, alligator, bus, truck, race car, and a lot more pictures. He loves it!!

In January we went to Red Rocks, NV to do some rock climbing. It was cold but fun. The little person climbing is me and the close up is Ryan. Clayton had a fun time finding all the caves he could and climbing into them.

This is our sweet snow fort that we made. Clayton loved it, it was big enough that he could stand up in it.

This was our awesome Halloween costumes. We were 80's rockers and Clayton was a dragon!!

So this is a way cute picture of Clay and the other shows the huge pile of leaves we raked for Grandma and Grandpa.

We went camping with Nate and Nick and as you can see... it was cold. It snowed on us and we ended up going home a day early.

Clayton loves his cousin Vanessa and just today told all of us, "I am not her cousin I am her brother."
